About Us

Mary Mulae

image placement Mary Mulae is an attorney with Children’s Law Group, concentrating in special education litigation.  As a parent of a child with speech impairments and learning disabilities, Mary has become a recognized advocate for families of children with disabilities.  She founded and for several years co-chaired a special-needs parent organization that remains a vital part of her school district’s parent-teacher organization.  As part of her advocacy efforts, Mary has represented her school district on the executive board of the Northern Suburban Special Education District (NSSED) Association of Parents and Staff.  She regularly speaks to advocacy and parent groups on legal issues for children with special needs.

Prior to joining Children’s Law Group, Mary worked with the firms of Hayt, Hayt & Landau and Grabowski & Clutts in Evanston, Illinois.  In addition to Medicaid administrative appeals and related Illinois Appellate work, her litigation experience has included probate, Social Security and collection work.

Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science with honors from National College of Education in Evanston, Illinois, and a law degree with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology.
